CATERING wholesaler Total Foodservice has been honoured for its rigorous approach to health and safety at the International Safety Awards 2013.
The Clitheroe-based firm took home the prestigious company award – a recognition of a proven commitment to workplace health and safety – but Total Foodservice’s health and safety representative Radoslaw Kozlowski was also awarded the individual title of International Health and Safety Champion.
Blackburn resident Radoslaw has succeeded in developing a nearly hazard-free working environment by focusing on safety features, including bailer checks, pallet truck checks and plant checks.
Radoslaw’s manager Paul Nowell, operations director at Total Foodservice, said: “Radoslaw is hugely deserving of this accolade.
“He constantly shows complete dedication to not only executing and promoting the stringent health and safety regulations the company has in place, but also suggesting sensible amendments to those policies and managing the change throughout the business.“
