A DOGSITTER was cleared of burgling the house of a client at Burnley Crown Court.
Helen Dodgeon, 38, was alleged to have burgled the property at Leigh Park, Hapton, between August 4 and 19, last year.
The prosecution alleged she took a haul including three televisions, a DVD player, X-Box, games, jewellery and a laptop.
Dog walker Ms Dodgeon, who had been looking after the alleged victim’s pet at her home, denied the allegation during a two-day trial.
The defendant, of Beech Street, Padiham, was found not guilty of burglary by the jury. She was discharged by Recorder Andrew Edis, QC.
