PUPILS at Fisher-More High School, Colne, held a mock election for The X Factor as part of their citizenship lessons.
After a talk by the Mayor of Pendle, Coun George Adam, on the workings of local government, the Year Nine class held an election, before five election "officials" totted up the result.
The project came after the pupils had spent the week discussing national politics, and the workings of democracy.
This was the mayor's third visit to the school, and he is there again today to repeat his talk with other pupils.
