A BURNLEY man who stole a charity collection tin has been jailed for 16 weeks.
David Gerald Harward, of Albert Street, also admitted stealing £900 in cash from a town centre bar.
He was already serving a suspended sentence for a burglary, handed out in December last year, when he stole the money from Mojito’s, St James House, St James Street, on May 21.
Harward, 43, said he had visited offices in the same building to enroll on a computer course when he noticed an unsecure door and entered the bar.
While he was there, he also stole a tablet computer worth £2,000 and a camera.
He stole the charity tin, which contained £29, from a veterinary clinic on June 5.
