HEALTH chief Mike Ions was impressed with the recent inspection of Burnley General Hospital.
A team of inspectors visited the hospital earlier this month as part of a probe into mortality rates.
Mr Ions, chief clinical officer for East Lancashire Clinical Commissioning Group, said: “It was a very robust process. The team certainly went totally off-piste and went wherever they wanted to go.”
Chairman Di van Ruitenbeek said she also had confidence in the review and would take the findings seriously.
