PEOPLE braved the cold to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Proms in the Park in Great Harwood.
More than 200 music lovers turned out to listen to the Slaidburn Silver Band play favourites including ‘Jerusalem’ and ‘Land of Hope and Glory’.
The free event, hosted by the Friends of Memorial Park, has been held every year since 2004.
Chairman Ian Wilkinson said the day had a real community feel, adding: “It was a great event and I was glad so many turned up despite the weather.
“I think everyone really enjoying listening to the Slaidburn Sliver Band and it was a fantastic debut for them at the prom.”
