SCHOOL leavers are being urged to get their foot on the career ladder by choosing an apprenticeship.
Blackburn-based Training 2000 still has almost 100 vacancies on offer to young people, including courses in accountancy, dental nursing and customer services.
Steve Gray, CEO at Training 2000, which is a partner in the university technical college set to open in Burnley, said: “The competition for apprenticeships is so high, especially at this time of year, so school leavers need to act as quickly as they can to secure a place.”
