A BURNLEY maternity and children’s shop has re-opened almost one month after it was damaged in a fire.
Tangerini, in Hebrew Road, off Colne Road, suffered smoke and water damage following a blaze next door at the former Model Rail Burnley store on May 27.
Owner Rashid Mangera had to throw out dozens of items of stock because they smelled of smoke after the incident, which fire investigators believe was started deliberately.
Mr Mangera estimated at the time that his business would only be closed for ‘three or four’ days but the clean-up operation took longer than planned due to flooding in the basement.
