A CLITHEROE primary school has been given outdoor play equipment worth £1,000 to make it easier for youngsters to get exercise and lead healthier lives.
Housing developer Taylor Wimpey made the donation to Edisford Primary with the aim of helping teachers and parents to encourage children to lead healthy lifestyles.
The company is developing 33 houses at its Low Moor Gardens site on Chapel Close in the town.
Anthony Mansfield, from Taylor Wimpey Manchester, said: “By donating much-needed equipment we are able to play a key role in the development of 250 children, which is of great benefit to the wider community.”
Headteacher Rob Pye said: “The children will benefit immensely from the excellent equipment donated by Taylor Wimpey. We are very grateful.”
