A leading Longridge community figure has called for anti-social behaviour dispersal orders to be widened from Berry Lane to other areas.
The orders, implemented in October, were aimed at dispersing gangs of problem youths converging on the town centre from problem estates in Preston.
The Co-op and recreation ground off Berry Lane were the prime targets for youths who were converging on the town and causing a nuisance by hanging around drinking alcohol.
Coun Hilda Marle said: "It would be nice to see it moved on because it does seem to be working.
"Areas at the top of Bleasdale Court and in the Mardale area which could benefit."
