DEMOLITION work close to the Thwaites stables, in Eanam Wharf, Blackburn, will not affect the firm’s two remaining dray horses, bosses said.
A spokesman for the Penny Street firm said: “The old estates yard at Eanam Wharf has been found to be structurally unsound and will be demolished.
“The demolition, which will commence in July, affects only the estates yard, which has been unoccupied for several months.
“The boundary walls will remain.
“Thwaites stables and yard, a completely separate building, will not be affected by the work, and will continue to function as normal.”
