A TEN-MILE walk over Darwen Moors and through Tockholes Woods will be held by Darwen Rotary Club, on Sunday, June 2.
The event will also include a shorter alternative route, and enable people to raise funds for their chosen charity, or cause. Each walker completing The Tower Trudge will receive a personalised certificate.
Walkers will set out from the Olde England Kiosk, in Sunnyhurst Woods, from 9am, and finish at the same place, where refreshments will be available.
The last checkpoint, Bury Fold, will close at 1.30pm.
The walk will go through Rocky Brook and up to Slipper Low. From the tower, the route will follow Witton Weavers Way to the road to Lords Hall, and then follow the road down to Bury Fold. It will then follow the public bridleway past Kebbs Cottage, then contour round just above the town to join the old route down from the tower.
