PARENTS rushing to pick up their children from school are putting themselves at risk by ignoring a one- way system, police said.
Neighbourhood officers are launching a crackdown on motorists on the school run and warning persistent offnders they could be fined.
The problem near Holy Trinity School, in Bank Top, has been highlighted by residents. A police spokesman said: “There have been a number of complaints relating to parking and parents dangerously contravening the one-way system outside the school. Anyone caught ignoring the one- way system face receiving an on-the- spot fine.”
