THE housing developer responsible for Woodland Park estate, off Anyon Street, Darwen, has been recognised as one of the industry’s most sustainable housebuilders.
Miller Homes has retained its top ranking place after the 2012 NextGeneration assessment with an overall score of 76 per cent.
The assessment ranks the performance and commitment of the UK’s top 25 house builders in delivering sustainable homes and communities every year, as well as their general performance as a company in relation to sustainability.
The assessment is designed to encourage better investment, policy and strategy in the delivery of sustainable homes and to share best practice in sustainability.
Chris Endsor, chief executive of Miller Homes, said: “We recognise the important benefits sustainability offers us and we are continually looking for ways in which we can enhance this further.”
