EAST Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust teamed up with charities Pumping Marvellous, Servier and Medtronic for a heart failure conference.

The clinically led conference was chaired by consultant cardiologist Dr Ravi Singh and enabled health professionals to share innovative options and solutions to heart failure care for patients.

The conference was attended by 80 GPs and health professionals from across East Lancashire and included presentations from senior clinical specialists.

Dr Singh said: “We were really pleased to have representatives from every aspect of the multi-disciplinary care our heart failure patients require.

“By working together and sharing knowledge we can continue to improve the quality of care and support East Lancashire heart failure patients receive.”

Angela Graves, heart failure nurse manager at East Lancashire Hospitals, said: “It was a wonderful event, with clinicians from the Trust updating the wider multi-disciplinary health care teams on Heart Failure, its growing significance and how we can support both patients and professionals across the primary and secondary care interface.”
