A NEWSAGENTS in Ramsbottom in a Grade II-listed building has been refused retrospective permission for two satellite antennae.
Market Place Newsagents has the antennae on the front of its building which were erected without consent.
A Bury Council report reads: “The development introduces alien features on a prominent elevation of Grade II Listed Building by reason of its position and is seriously detrimental to the appearance of the building upon which it is located.
“The proposal adversely affects the character, appearance and historic interest of the Grade II Listed Building.
“The proposal therefore conflicts with Bury Unitary Development Plan Policy.”
