A SHOPLIFTER showed a lack of remorse when he was caught committing his second offence within two days.
Blackburn magistrates heard police confiscated a pair of wire clippers which Grzegorz Kosow used while stealing a £450 camera from Comet.
He was charged and released on bail, but the next day was arrested in B&Q stealing pliers and wire clippers.
“Presumably he felt the need to replace the ones the police had taken off him the previous day,” said Catherine Allan, prosecuting.
Kosow, 36, of Ravenglass Close, Blackburn, pleaded guilty to two charges of shoplifting. He was ordered to do 60 hours unpaid work and pay £230 costs.
Miss Allan said Kosow had used the pliers in Comet to cut the security wire but had been detained as he left the shop.
Jonathan Taylor, defending, said Kosow was in full-time work in a warehouse.
