CLAYSON Raymond Frederick Raymond, oft Ray to friends and to Col, formerly of Abbey Fields, Whalley, Lancashire died peacefully, surrounded by family, on Tuesday 30th January 2024 after a short illness, aged 83 years. Dear husband to Irene, his wife of 58 years, loving father to daughters Anne and Gill and sons-in-law Andrew and Andrew, brother to Colin, and much loved grandfather, godfather, brother-in-law and uncle, he will be missed by all his family. Raymond will be remembered by those he served as postmaster in Halifax and Ballantrae Rd, Shadsworth, Blackburn. He was proud to have served in the RAF with 85th Squadron in Aden and as a Police Constable in Blackburn, Lancashire. A funeral service will be held at Altrincham Crematorium on Friday 23rd February 2024, at 3.15pm.
