On behalf of Blackburn & District Table Tennis League I take this opportunity to send sincere condolences to Frank's family. Frank was a stalwart table tennis player in the Blackburn league for many, many years and his swashbuckling style and prowess around the table will be remembered as much as his many successful titles. He was an inspirational player to many who followed in his footsteps. RIP Frank.

Very true Elaine. I played against Frank in the 1940's and 1950's. Always a good match as he could really hit the ball. He was YMCA's top player for many years. I was lucky enough to beat him in the individual final at Grimshaw Park in 1953, but win or lose, Frank always had a smile on his face. A good lad. Condolences to Frank's family. Ken Brooks.
