COLLINS James (Jim) George On 1st January 2024, Jim Collins, aged 79 years, of Blackburn - formerly of Liverpool and latterly, Lanzarote. Head of languages for many years at St John Rigby/Our Lady & St John's. Dearly loved husband of Ann and much-loved father of Tony and Catherine. Requiem Mass at St Alban's Church on Wednesday 24th January at 12 noon, prior to cremation at Pleasington. Donations to the NSPCC in lieu of flowers. Mr Collins was a good teacher and among many other memorable characters from John Rigby's teaching staff back in the day. He was fair and honest with a good teaching style. He taught all my siblings and I. Thoughts and condolences to Mr Collins' family.

Remember Jim from Notre Dame and Ann from St Alban's. He had a very dry sense of humour- which he needed when trying to teach me French! Very respected teacher.
