JONES Samuel (Sam) On Wednesday 24th May 2023, peacefully at his home, Sam aged 98 years. The dearly loved husband of the late Martha Patricia, much loved dad of Enid and Marlene and father-in-law of Jim. Dearly loved grandad of Sonhia, Nichola and Jason, and a special great-grandad (gramps) of Sam and Neekah, Courtney, Molly Rose, Gracie Beau and the late Alfie James. Reposing in the Darwen chapel of rest. The funeral service and committal will take place at Pleasington crematorium on Friday 9th June at 1.30 p.m. Family flowers only please, but donations in memory of Sam may be made for the Alzheimer's society or The British Heart foundation c/o Darwen Funeral Service 59/61 Blackburn Rd. Darwen BB3 1EJ. The family have requested that preferably no black attire. All enquiries Tel. 01254 873618.

Dear uncle Sam, remembering you with fond memories, spending special times together, holidays in Portsmouth and Weymouth, you always knew the best places to visit.
Always looked forward to you visiting on a Saturday night at mum and dad's, taking me with you to the pub for half a Gill, packet of crisps and a coke. A True gentleman. Lovely and caring a great family man. Helped me out many a time. So sad.

So sad to hear over Sam's passing. My thoughts are with his family at this sad time. Sam was a top guy. He will be solely missed.... Good night and God bless Sam. Rest in peace.....

Samuel Jones- Sam a true gentleman a kind and caring man. I will miss you Sam the conversations about old Darwen and the war. Also Tuesday when I popped in for a brew and a cake you always made me welcome. Love you. Rest in Peace.
