RISHTON Donald John "Don" Aged 81 1st November 2022 Royal Blackburn Hospital Cherished husband of Maureen, beloved father of Matthew, Nina and the late Colin. Loved and loving grandfather to Lucy and Harry. Former long-standing Councillor to Bank Top ward. Former general secretary to the General Union of Associated Loom Overlookers/G.U.A.L.O (retired). Ex-Governor of Ashworth nursery school. A courageous, tireless and modest advocate of fairness and quality of existence. His was a life comprehensively lived. Service at Pleasington Cremetorium, Wednesday 16th November at 3:45 pm. Family flowers only. Donations gratefully received to Shelter/Alzheimer's Society and can also be accepted on the day.
