FREZA Anthony Bernard Tony, formally of Darwen, passed away peacefully at the East Lancashire Hospice on Tuesday 25th October 2022 aged 66 years. The dearly loved husband to Carol, a much loved father, cherished father in law, brother, brother in law, uncle, treasured grandad, and adored by all. Tony's funeral mass will be held at St Joseph's Church Darwen on Monday 7th November 2022 at 1:30pm, followed by a 3pm committal at Pleasington Crematorium. Reposing in the Chapel of Rest, Co-op Funeralcare, Duckworth Street, Darwen. Family requests no flowers please but donations if desired can be made in memory of Tony to the East Lancashire Hospice, Derian House Children's Hospice. Firstly I'd like to express my sincere condolences to Tony's family.
Tony was my shift leader at James Dewhurst, I found him a truly decent and genuine guy. I got on great with him. He was an old school tackler and very knowledgeable in the weaving process. He talked a lot about his family, and his love hate relationship with Blackburn Rovers ...! He would always pass his knowledge on regarding any weaving matters. Tony was just a top bloke and I think I can say he will be sadly missed by all at James Dewhurst on the C shift.
