NEWBY Dorothy Died at Ravenswing Manor Care Home, aged 85 years, on Tuesday 2 August 2022. Widow of Brian, dearly loved mother of Margaret, Tracy, Allison and Nadia, grandmother of Vicky, Coren, Aoife, Justine, Daniel, Farah and Hannan, sister to Tom and Julie. During her life, Dorothy was a foster mother, Sunday School teacher at St Oswald's Church Knuzden, Supervisor of Knuzden Playgroup for 21 years and a classroom assistant at Shadsworth Infant School. Sadly she had Alzheimer's in her later years, our great thanks go to Ravenswing for their care. Dorothy was much loved and will be greatly missed by family and friends. Funeral service and cremation will take place at Pleasington Crematorium on Friday 2nd September at 12.15pm.
