HOLGATE Joyce MBE of Whalley passed away suddenly on Thursday 16th June surrounded by her family, aged 91 years. A devoted and much loved Mum of Kathleen and Debra, beloved Mother of the late Peter, proud and loving Nana to Rachel, Roy, Josh, George, Abigail and Rossi. Joyce was a Borough Councillor for many years and twice Mayor of the Ribble Valley. She will be greatly missed by her family, and many friends within the community. Resting at Langshaw Calverley, King Street, Whalley, BB7 9SW. A service in celebration of Joyce's life will be held at 11 am on Thursday 30th June, at St Mary's Church Whalley.
