FRASER James (Jimmy) On the evening of Tuesday 7th June 2022, Jimmy passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, and following short stays in Royal Blackburn Hospital and in Magdalene House. He was close to his 92nd birthday. He will be very fondly remembered as the devoted husband of Rita, the father of Anne, Mark and Helen, and the father-in-law of the late Ian and of Clare and Martin. Jimmy was Grandad to Lisa, Paul, Katie, Joseph, Thomas, Jacob, Luke, Sophie and Lucy, and Great-Grandad to Noah, Seb, Ava, Louis, Alice, Sadie, Lily and Eve. After a long and happy life, Jimmy will be sadly missed by his wider family and friends, and remembered with affection by many of his former pupils and colleagues at St. Mary's College. His Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Thursday 23rd June 2022 at Holy Souls Church at 10:00am, followed by cremation at Pleasington. Family flowers only please, and if anyone would like to make donations in his memory, the family's wishes are that these would go to Scope, or Cancer Research, or to the Macular Society, c/o The Alty Funeral Service.
