Brian Paddick is the latest contestant to leave I'm A Celebrity...

The former Metropolitan Police Deputy Assistant Commisioner was voted off the show after finding himself in the bottom two alongside Star Trek actor George Takei.

Brian promptly tipped former Blue singer Simon Webbe - who he has confessed to having a crush on - to win the series.

He said: "Simon Webbe should win. No doubt, no hesitation. He is such a talented guy, such a good guy and such a role model."

Brian said he had taken part in the show because he wanted to do something "trivial" but found jungle life "pretty tedious".

He said: "For a long time I've been doing serious stuff - thirty years in the police and running for mayor. It's all bad news that they want me to comment on so I thought why not come and do something trivial," he told presenters Ant and Dec.

"It gets pretty tedious, if you don't get a trial or you don't get a celebrity chest to do you're just sitting around doing the same thing."
