Martina Navratilova impressed campmates after scoring a "perfect 10" in her Bushtucker trial.

The former tennis champion - who was elected to take part in the Carnage challenge by her fellow celebrities - admitted she was nervous about the trial, which require her to jump out of cars winched into the air, before taking part.

She told I'm A Celebrity... hosts Ant and Dec: "I've not done one yet and it was between Esther and I as to who did it.

"Because it is a physical challenge we decided it would be one for me. I had been looking forward to it but I'm not so sure now."

Dec then told Martina she would have to "get in the front seat of a Mini Cooper, it will be winched up in the air and in line with the other four minis hanging over the creek.

"You have to climb out of the sunroof and go from bonnet to boot jumping from car to car searching for stars."

Each of the five cars was also on a timer to drop into the water below at unscheduled intervals.

Martina managed to retrieve nine of the stars, grabbing the tenth one just before it crashed into the water.

Telling Ant and Dec she was "pleased as punch" to succeed in her first trial, Martina added: "It was tough, I was out of breath but I was so determined to get every star and not drop one, I almost did drop one.

"The camp will be happy, it's been a while since they had a full meal."

Upon arriving back at camp, Martina told her eagerly-awaiting camp mates: "Hold your horses, that was rough man, I was in a harness suspended over a pond. I got a perfect 10!"
