Halloween Special with amazing costumes, makeup and special effects this truly must be one of the best programmes produced by the BBC.
But which of our eleven remaining couples would be battling it out in the dreaded dance off?
Who will trick us in to believing they are better than we think they are and who will treat us with a delightful professional performance that is only fit for a final?
Sunetra & Brendan Jive C6 D7 L7 B7 T27 Sunetra has the ability, presentation and performance to go a long way in the competition, she has a good strong leg action and leg line, if anything I would have preferred to see her slightly lighter on her chasse, but a great performance.
Alison & Aljaz American Smooth (Foxtrot) C5 D7 L7 B7 T26 Alison is a beautiful performer and is extremely graceful on the dance floor, there were a couple of footwork issues though, and I personally would have liked to see her in a simpler dress that would have shown off her beautiful leg lines, a great flowing Foxtrot.
Simon & Kristina Paso Doblé C6 D8 L7 B8 T29 This was truly an amazing Paso Doblé performance with great shaping, power and presentation, after last weeks kick in the teeth for Simon with his onslaught of being in the bottom two. I was amazed with his fighting spirit and so glad that his Strictly bubble had not been burst. What a shame for his little mistake in the second half of the routine but it did not take anything away from an amazing performance.
Steve & Ola Charleston C5 D7 L7 B7 T26 With more content than a packet of hundreds and thousands! A very full on routine, however I think Steve got a little stage fright and the dreaded blank mind! (That we all get from time to time) which led him to forget parts of the routine, as always the easy parts. The control on the lift sections was excellent, keep it together Steve!
Pixie & Trent Tango C8 D8 L8 B9 T33 Pixie you really do have the Lot! And can master any style you are given. The power and energy in the performance is breath taking, with a great feeling and drama, I would have liked to have seen a little more Tango content but I loved it.
Judy & Anton American Smooth (Foxtrot) C3 D6 L6 B5 T20 Judy looked quite nervous this week and her overall performance could have been a little smoother; there were however some very nice lines and the control on the lifts were excellent.
Jake & Janette Paso Doblé C6 D7 L8 B8 T29 Great opening cape work from Jake with great shaping, style and strength, this dance really suited him. Great choreography which showed Jake to his best and I disagree with the judges as I thought his shaping was very good and one of the best celebrity Paso’s I have seen.
Caroline & Pasha Samba C7 D8 L8 B9 T32 Caroline has worked so hard on her leg lines to straighten them and control them the way she does, great hip action and amazing Zombie Pasha choreography overall an excellently performed true Samba.
Scott & Joanne Foxtrot C3 D6 L6 B6 T21 I loved the characterisation Scott and Joanne had put into their routine this week, the story telling really was brilliant, but then as Scott got into true hold it all went a little pear shaped, and a little stompy, Scott’s frame needed some attention as well but not a bad attempt.
Mark & Karen Jive C8 D9 L9 B9 T35 A great complex kick section to the start of the routine which was mastered to the slightest detail, a very light Jive action throughout the whole performance, the musicality and presentation was excellent, they had obviously spent a lot of time rehearsing for this and it paid off, for me this was Mark’s best dance yet and great manageable choreography by Karen.
Frankie & Kevin Tango C9 D9 L9 B10 T37 WOW! A truly professional performance of a technical Tango , A-MA-ZING, this routine would have been a winning performance anywhere else, this has to be the best dance of the series so far and easily a ten!
Sunday results show
An amazing spooky, dramatic opening to the results show from our professional dancers but with Scott & Joanne and Alison & Aljaz in the dreaded dance off only one could go through to next week and fortunately we see Alison & Aljaz dance again but Scott will be missed for his fun and frolics.
