‘SISTERS are doing it for themselves’ at Chorley Little Theatre, with auditions taking place for Calendar Girls on Sunday at 11am.
The popular Tim Firth tale, made famous by the film of the same name, is being produced by Chorley Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society from September 1 to 8. With Vaudevillian-style nudity, director Barbara Wilcox is also recruiting a female backstage crew.
She said: “Calendar Girls is a wonderful play, hilariously funny, poignant and uplifting. The audience will love it and so will the cast and crew.
“It is not a difficult play to learn because it is so well written, technically however it is challenging at times and requires great collaboration between those onstage and off.”
Rehearsals will take place throughout the summer holidays, with all cast off script by July.
