The sequel to the rugby comedy Up n' Under is the next CADOS production at Chorley Little Theatre.

Up n' Under 2 is another classic from the pen of John Godber, the champion of the underdog and a wonderful observer of northern life.

Following defeat in the annual rugby league sevens, the rag-tag and bob-tailed outfit of the Wheatsheaf Arms prepare to face the might of The Cobblers Arms in a much heralded return grudge match double or quits!

It's Christmas and it's cold, both outside and inside the world of Arthur Hoyle, player coach of the Wheatsheaf Arms.

His team is crumbling around him as is his domestic life, but he's not about to give up this is about pride, guts and determination.

In the words of Rocky Balboa: "Nobody owes nobody nothing, you owe yourself" and Arthur's going to scrap to the end.

He's been down on the canvas more times than Phil's changed English syllabus, Steve's patched up a dodgy motor and Frank's mentioned the fact his wife left him and took the kids, but will he get up this time?

No need to have seen Up n' Under 1, just bring your coat, woolly hat and Wheatsheaf Arms scarf and cheer the boys and girl to - victory? That would be telling!

The production is sponsored by Halbro Sports, Horwich, who have designed and made complete kits for the play.

Up n' Under 2, directed by Steve Unsworth, runs from February 13-18 at 7.30pm. Tickets are on sale now from Malcolm's Musicland, Chapel Street, Chorley on 01257 264362.
