TICKETS are now on sale for Burnley Garrick Club's next production from September 26 to 29 - the popular Willy Russell play Blood Brothers.
Russell's plays are celebrated for their real take on working class life.
His father owned a chip shop and his mother worked in a warehouse.
Academically he was a failure at school but it was during his English silent reading lessons he realised he wanted to be a writer.
Although Blood Brothers was originally written as a play it has become more well known as a musical.
Many famous actresses have appeared in the role of Mrs. Johnston including Barbara Dickson and Clodagh Rogers.
The Garrick is presenting the original play version, although the opening song about Marilyn Monroe is included in the script.
The play itself tells the tale of twin brothers who are born into a large working class family and what happens when their mother is persuaded to have one of them adopted.
Burnley Garrick Club is presenting Blood Brothers at the Burnley Mechanics theatre from September 26 to 29 nightly at 7.30pm. For tickets call 01282 664400.
