Lancashire Telegraph review by Kimberley Hall from October 2, 2010.
Aroma is in a class of its own boasting the appearance of a high end establishment.
On my recent visit we sat upstairs in the open plan restaurant, which features a huge TV screen, albeit one which was showing the type of programmes you only watch on holiday.
Our poppadoms and plentiful selection of chutneys were served as we looked through the menu, which was a nice touch, although it took me longer to choose as I was devouring them!
The menu offers a varied but not endless selection of contemporary Asian foods, and includes some signature dishes, which came recommended by my friends, as well as traditional curry options.
I opted for a king prawn special with a paratha while my friend ordered a chicken balti and pilau rice.
The king prawns were served on a huge plate, and mimicked a piece of art.
The taste and freshness of the ingredients lived up to their appearance.
There were no complaints from the regular on the other side of the table either as we tucked in.
With a large glass of wine, pint of Kingfisher lager, mineral water and a liqueur coffee each, the bill came to £47.10.
It's not budget dining, but the food is great.
