The death of Michael Jackson in June, shortly before a planned series of 50 sellout concerts at the O2 Arena in London, sent shockwaves around the world, denying fans one last chance to see The King of Pop live on stage.
With the full support of the singer’s estate, this revealing documentary offers a glimpse at what might have been.
It draws upon hundreds of hours of backstage and rehearsal footage which was shot predominantly in June at the Staples Centre in Los Angeles and The Forum in Inglewood, California.
The film, captured in high definition with state-of-the-art digital sound and with selected sequences in 3D, reveals the tricks and illusions that the late singer had planned for his This Is It concerts, choreographed by Kenny Ortega, intercut with interviews with some of Jackson’s closest friends and creative collaborators.
