SOMEWHERE over the grey clouds and just off the A666 is a wonderful world of Christmas magic.
This year it's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz bringing some sparkle to Darwen at the town's library theatre.
With a colourful set and terrific music, my munchkins and I were in full panto swing.
It's all about the children this year, with a heartwarming and traditional production from panto guru George Critchley for PMA.
It was also lovely to see some local, young talent on stage with DAPA dance and performing arts students on stage.
If you like the movie, you'll love the show with a satisfying score that the audience can sing along to.
The cast were good, maintaining a Cansas accent throughout taking you back to the magic and tradition of the film.
But beware of the Wicked Witch of the West, a convincing villain who left the children in the audience with a fright, but it wouldn't be panto without all those boooooooos!
Although the only character I missed was Toto, he's left to the imagination, but apart from him, there's nothing else left out of this exciting pantomime.
Take the little ones off to see The Wizard of Oz over Christmas, it's a magical treat.
The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, Darwen Library Theatre, until December 24.
