THEY'RE canny people these Kiwis when it comes to making quite excellent dry whites.
This classic Sauvignon Blanc is from a family-owned vineyard established just 33 years ago (a long time in New Zealand terms) in the Nelson area which is one of the country's sunniest spots.
It is beautifully balanced, clean tasting but not acidic and has bags of passionfruit and pear flavours.
The alcohol level is a sensible 12.5%.
SEIFRIED ESTATE SAUVIGNON BLANC 2006, £7.99, Morrisons
