NOTHING aged about this one - the first 2006 vintage from vineyards in the Casablanca Valley and Alto Cachapoal in the foothills of the Andes in Chile.
The Valley provides the 85% Chardonnay while Cachapoal is where the 15% of Viognier grapes are grown.
The result is a very easy drinking white with bags of pineapple, mango and other tropical fruits.
Superb value for a fiver.
Anakena Chardonnat Viognier 2006, £4.99, Co-op.
