WITTON Weavers Way Walking Festival will celebrate its 10th anniversary from June 10 to 30 with a selection of walks.
The festival, organised by Blackburn with Darwen Council with support from local walking groups, features day, evening and weekend walks for all abilities.
The festival will feature several Wainwright-themed walks, and Ron Scholes, a friend of Blackburn-born Wainwright, will give a talk on the Coast to Coast walk on June 27, from 2pm at Blackburn Central Library.
A led walk by Blackburn Rambler Group from Blackburn to Whalley takes place on June 28 and, for the more ambitious walkers, the East/West Lancashire Long Distance Walking Association will lead 19-mile treks.
