PUNJABI rock star Juggy D collaborates with the UK’s award-winning DJ Scottie B and MC Bushkin in his new single.
The story of Indian Twerk started thousands of miles away after a chance meeting. Juggy said: “I met Scottie B at an event in Dubai and we exchanged numbers.
“I never really called him for a couple of years but then one day I hit him up to see if he was still up for doing something together and amazingly, within a week, this track happened.”
Scottie B has been an MTV presenter and nominated for a Music Of Black Origin gong and Urban Music Award.
He has also had a gold-selling compilation album and has remixed for chart-topping artists Rihanna, Labrinth, Tinie Tempah, Chipmunk, Kelly Rowland, Keri Hilson and Nelly, to name but a few.
Juggy said: “I loved working on this track with Scottie B. But once the track was nearly done I felt it needed more of an urban touch to it.
“I was sitting in the car with a friend who was speaking to Bushkin about some other business.
“I know Bushkin from back in the day and I just had a brainwave. I grabbed the phone, spoke to him briefly, played the song down the phone and he loved it and within a day he was on it too. It is all about the vibe.”
Bushkin is no stranger to the music industry. Starting off with Heartless Crew back in the early 1990s and then forming Fonti And Bushkin, he now holds down a successful solo career as an MC as well as running his own record label Bush Bash Recordings.
Juggy said: “It has been some time and it is a little later than planned but that is a desi thing. Anyway, Indian Twerk is ready to be unleashed. Time to shake your bootiya.”
Indian Twerk is set for release on July 30 via iTunes and other digital stores.
