THE Connect UK team will be raising funds for charity at the Fusion Awards later this month.
The group has teamed up with the 2015 awards to raise money for the East Lancashire Hospice in the coming year.
Volunteers, charity champions and entrepreneurs from across the North West are set to attend the event, which is the region’s biggest awards event of its kind and takes place on Saturday, May 30, in the Concert Hall, King George’s Hall, Blackburn.
The awards list this year aims to honour charity and community groups as well as individuals who are an inspiration to those around them. In particular it recognises the efforts of individuals who remain unsung heroes in their towns and cities.
Chairman of Connect UK Cllr Salim Sidat said: “Everybody at Connect UK are proud to be associated with the 2015 Fusion Awards. It is great to be raising money for the hospice on the night.”
The Fusion Awards are already close to sell out.
Meanwhile, Connect UK tonight will host its own quiz night at St Albans Working Men’s Club.
Tickets are £5 and are available by calling 07973 657542.
