AN EXCLUSIVE new app brings Islamic dhikr (Arabic remembrance sayings) to your phone.

Nargis Akhtar of Blackburn has created an innovative app along with sound developer, Ugur Dogan.

D-BWE (Dhikr Brain Wave Entrainment) is an Islamic brain wave entrainment therapy for the mind, body and soul.

Nargis said, “We are using Islamic sounds as a form of meditation. For example, if you convert the word Allah into a number, it translates as number 66.

“We have created a 66 hertz tone frequency by adding a vibrational sound to it.

“The Allah sound is a nine-minute meditation programme.

“D-BWE offers 6 different Dhikr sessions, each with its own specific therapy.

“When sound travels through the body, it is a form of deep meditation which releases endorphins and makes us feel good. A similar effect is induced from listening to music.”

I-Soundtherapy is a research and production studio that develops, designs, and supports a wide range of products and services related to Islamic sound wave therapies.

Nargis has spent many years working in sound and healing, researching Islamic sciences, modern and traditional to find the universal Islamic sounds which will assist in all aspects of healing.

Nargis explains the parallel nature of Islam and physics and how brain wave entrainment is based on positive affirmations.

“The essence of Islam affirms physics and vice versa. Everything in the universe is in a state of vibration creating sound waves at variable frequencies.

“Our brain waves reveal our state of mind through the frequencies we choose to live by.

“This app is a form of spiritual healing outside of the obligatory prayers. It allows the user to listen to Islamic words as sounds which will balance your body, mind and soul.
