THE Kerala Ayurveda Centre has announced it is relocating to new premises in Blackburn from Bolton.
The Centre will offer herbal therapies to treat problems ranging from back and joint pains to obesity, stress, depression and skin disorders.
Ayurveda comes from Kerala region of southern India and has been used for 5,000 years.
It is based on the principle that ‘illness is caused by an imbalance in a person’s physical or mental constitution’ and therefore seeks to gently bring the body and the mind back into a health balance, Owner Saj, director of the centre said, “Everything here is authentically Kerala and brings you the goodness and wisdom of ayurveda in its purity and totality.
“Each first visit begins with a free consultation with an ayurvedic doctor who will take a medical history and conduct an ayurvedic examination, looking particularly at the pulse of the hands and the tongue.”
The treatment is in the form of herbs and oils of which there are 250 different types, imported from Kerala. They are massaged into the body by the therapists.
“Our therapists have a minimum of ten years experience being trained in an ayurvedic hospital,” said Saj. “We have a male therapist for male patients and female therapists for female patients.
“Both men and ladies are based in separate private rooms. Kerala Ayurveda Centre will offer all-round rejuvenation therapy to restore energy levels, relieve body aches, improve the skin and blood circulation, regulate the digestive system and slow down the ageing process.”
Now with premises in Leicester, Walsall and Leeds, the Kerala Ayurveda Centre’s team of fully qualified Ayurveda practitioners offer treatments for a wide range of health problems.
They have in excess of 25,000 registered clients across the UK, and with 75 per cent of new customers coming from recommendations. The centre, is based in Lime Street at what was formerly the Cha Cha’s Takeaway.
