A new chocolate themed café named Simply Chocolicious was officially opened by the mayor of Blackburn with Darwen.
The cafe is based at the site of the previous Cinnamon cafe with a complete new refurbishment to reflect a brand new era. It is situated at 51 Regent Street in the Blackburn town centre.
Artisan chocolatier Sabiha Patel owns the chocolate confectioners Simply Chocolicious which specialises in handcrafted chocolates and desserts.
She is expanding her enterprise by creating a unique experience for customers, a cafe that will provide an array of home-made desserts and treats. She has always dreamt of opening a cafe that showcased her passion for all things chocolate, a sort of meeting place for chocolate lovers like her.
Sabiha said: “I am feeling very nervous about this new venture but excited at the same time and it is an honour to have the Mayor join us on this special day.” “We have given the place a fresh look that is catered for all ages and groups.”
As well as serving hot and cold food, there is a menu available showing the finest and most exquisite chocolates and desserts.
Sabiha added, “From the heart of the North West we produce luxury handmade chocolates made to our own secret recipes. Every chocolate is made by hand with loving care and attention, the old fashioned way.
“All our chocolates are Halal and suitable for vegetarians. Our products may contain nuts or traces of nuts. If you are in any doubt about the chocolates suitability please contact the Simply Chocolicious team for advice.”
The Simply Chocolicious café is open Monday to Thursday 10am – 7pm and Friday to Saturday 11am – 11pm
