BURNLEY heavy metal band I.C.O.N are hitting the road for their spring tour 2012.

The tour includes a hometown date at Sanctuary during the Easter holidays.

In recent years, I.C.O.N have shared the stage with artists such as Diamond Head, Blaze Bayley and Voodoo Six and winning fans across Europe.

This will be the first leg of shows on the band’s New Born Lie tour promoting their debut album through April and May.

I.C.O.N will also be appearancing at the Metalgods Festival in Mansfield in May.

After a challenging 2011 which saw founding members vocalist Mark Sagar and Guitarist Scott Knowles having to rebuild the band due to the departure of their long term drummer and bassist, 2012 is set to be a very exciting year for the group.

A second leg of the tour is planned later in the year including shows in London and Europe.

I.C.O.N. play Sanctuary on Saturday, April 7 supported by Chorley’s Fire In The Empire.

Entry is free and doors open at 9pm.
