A ‘HEARTY’ Northern comedy – set on the party island of Ibiza – is being staged in Rossendale from June 22 to 25.
Bacup Amateur Dramatic and Operatic Society (BAODS) is revisiting the world of a Girls’ Night Out with its latest production.
Girls’ Night Out In Ibiza is the sequel to writer Dave Simpson’s Girls’ Night Out, presented by the company at Bacup Royal Court Theatre in March last year.
This time out, the four women are off on holiday to Ibiza, where Tony, Nicola’s fiance, and Pete, Jane’s estranged husband are in a male strip group.
Director Jim Rowe said: “It has been a pleasure to work with the cast to bring you Dave Simpson’s Girls’ Night Out In Ibiza a worthy follow up to last year’s very successful Girls’ Night Out.
"I know you will enjoy this very humorous and risqué presentation of good hearty northern comedy.”
The ‘girls’ are played by Lauren Downes (Nicola), Josephine Eden (Aunt Ivy), Dawn Rowe (Sarah), Liz Williamson (Jane) and Lyndsay Eyre (stewardess/barmaid/ DJ/ Nick’s girlfriend), with the boys played by James Goulding (Antonio/Tony), Stephen Woods (Pete), Simon Pierce (Carlos/ Carl/barman) and Callum Bell (NIck).
Their paths, naturally, cross in the resort, resulting in lots of emotion and humour.
* Girls’ Night Out In Ibiza, BAODS, Bacup Royal Court Theatre, Wednesday, June 22 until Saturday, June 25, 7.30pm. Tickets £8 from 01706 874080.
