Singer Mary Hampton performs at Hoghton Tower on June 24 week as part of a mini-tour of six extraordinary settings across England.

The band’s performance in the banqueting hall will be preceded by promenade solos in the courtyard.

The tour will see Mary performing new repertoire from forthcoming album Folly in enchanting locations, otherworldly follies, formal gardens and on a rooftop garden under a lunar eclipse.

Hailed as one of the true originals of the ‘new’ folk scene, Mary’s fragile, haunting voice conveys the bitter-sweet romanticism and incisive wit of her songs.

The tour will be the debut for her new five-piece band, Cotillion.

The venues on this tour each provide a beautiful setting for Mary’s music.

The stunning Hoghton Tower can be seen from miles away and has been in the De Hoghton family since the Norman Conquest.

The line-up of Cotillion is Mary Hampton - voice and guitar, Jo Burke - fiddle and vocals, Alistair Strachan - cornet and percussion,Alice Eldridge - cello and vocals and Seth Bennett - double bass.

Audiences are invited to come early and enjoy the beautiful surroundings in this celebration of nature and culture.

Mary Hampton plays Hoghton Tower on Friday, June 24. 8pm. Tickets are £12 from hoghtontower.co.uk or 01254 852986.
