RENOWNED singer PJ Harvey has announced only two new live dates, including Manchester on September 8, following the release of her latest album, Let England Shake.
The songstress will be playing one date in Glasgow on September 4 and the second at the Apollo, in Manchester, on September 8.
The new album, PJ’s eighth, was recorded in a 19th-century church in Dorset, on a cliff-top overlooking the sea.
It was created with a cast of musicians including such long-standing allies as Flood, John Parish, and Mick Harvey.
Nearly two decades after she made her first records, it proves not just that its author refuses to stand still, but that her creative confidence may well be at an all-time high.
* PJ Harvey is at the Apollo, Manchester, on September 8. Tickets for the new show go on sale at 9am tomorrow and cost £30. To book, visit gigsandtours.com or ring 0844 811 0051.
