THE area’s best Asian fashion and entertainment will be showcased at King George’s Hall’s Asian Ladies Night in Blackburn on April 16.

The women-only event will also see entertainment from Blackburn live music artists Xplosive Dholis and DJ TM from Fly Entertainment, plus Manchester based singer Ali Ayaz.

The evening titled Klassy Kuriya, hosted by Strawberry Events, is being held in aid of the Japanese Tsunami, and aims to bring together Blackburn women to meet new members of the community.

The event will see stalls from local business women including beauty products, jewellery, handbags, accessories, and a henna artist.

There will also be food stalls from Blackburn restaurants Butterfly Snacks and Bombay Junction.

Event organiser Rizwana Zaahid from Blackburn with Darwen Council said: “The idea for the event was to create something where women could come and relax and enjoy themselves all together.

“We’re hoping to attract about 200 ladies and we’re quite excited that it should be a good night.

“Hopefully we’ll do another one if this one is a success.”
