ONE of the world’s leading choral groups will be performing in Blackburn on March 19 and Manchester on June 17.
Harry Christophers and The Sixteen will be performing work by the Renaissance composer Tomas Luis de Victoria.
Tomás Luis de Victoria was the most famous composer of the 16th century in Spain.
The concerts, which mark the 400th anniversary of the composer's death, are part of the group’s 2011 choral pilgrimage.
It will see them perform at some of the country’s leading cathedrals.
Harry Christophers is the founder and conductor of The Sixteen and has directed the choir and orchestra throughout Europe, America and the Far East, gaining a reputation for his work in renaissance, baroque and 20th Century music.
