IT’S that time again tonight when comedy returns to Pendle’s ACE Centre.

First Friday Frolics at the Nelson venue has a growing reputation for being a good night out, as well as its value for money credentials with three comedians plus an MC on the monthly bill for just £6 in advance.

The week sees Stephen Carlin preview his Edinburgh Comedy Festival show The Podium Of Unconditional Surrender as the headline act.

He has written and performed two solo shows at the Edinburgh Fringe, has supported Stewart Lee and Stephen Merchant on their national tours and appeared in Stewart Lee Presents The Ten Best Stand-ups in the World Ever.

Steve Bennett, from comedy website Chortle says Carlin is ‘fast establishing himself as one of the most distinctive, and funniest, new comedians in Britain’ and he is being tipped as one of this year’s rising comedy stars.
